After 11 years of practicing as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician and Licensed Acupuncturist, Dr. Tony Willcox has completed his Clinical Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine taking his learning to the highest possible levels not only in South Florida but within the United States of America. Dr. Willcox is completing his PhD. in Acupuncture in Anhui Province, China on invitation from the Chinese Government. This will give Dr. Willcox a unique and unparalleled set of credentials above and beyond local Acupuncture peers in South Florida. His dedication and commitment to excellence in his craft gives the determination in order to strive for extra learning, increased techniques and learning with the best professionals in the world to provide Acupuncture Zen in Delray Beach with World Class Acupuncture care.

Dr. Tony Willcox of Acupuncture Zen has interned in three Hospitals in Shanghai, China In 2012 and has  increased his knowledge and skill in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine with advanced techniques for the treatment of many diseases and disorders including Pain Management, Weigh Loss, Insomnia, Anxiety, Stress, Arthritis, Fascial Paralysis (Bell’s Palsy), Headaches, Migraines, Eye disorders, Fertility disorders, Bladder conditions (Incontinence, Enuresis), Neck or Cervical pain, Spinal Stenosis, Lumbar pain, Tennis & Golf elbow, and Tinnitus. Dr. Willcox has had personal tuition from Dr. Shi Xue Min of Tianjin, China who is famous for his technique of Xing Nao Kai Qiao (XNKQ), a specific acupuncture protocol to provide treatment for patients with neurological conditions such as; Stroke, Coma, Parkinson’s, Tremor, Neuralgia, Facial Paralysis and Dementia. This technique raises the clear Qi and opens the orifices. Dr. Shi Xue Min is considered a Treasure by the Chinese Government and has written several books on Acupuncture and appeared in the movie 9000 Needles, a movie about the treatment of these conditions mentioned.

The three Hospitals were YueYang Hospital at Ganhe Road and YueYang at Qinghai Road and Shuguang Hospital which are all affiliated with the world famous, Shanghai University of Traditional Medicine. These hospitals are Integrated Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals that utilize the best medicines of both worlds. To understand the importance of Acupuncture in this country of 1.3 billion people, the first or second floor of these hospitals were Acupuncture wards with numerous treatment rooms. It is not unusual for a single Acupuncture Doctor to treat 120 to 200 patients per day. This became an enormous learning experience for Dr. Willcox with many disease states and conditions being treated.
