As the only Acupuncture Doctor to make the Top 100, Dr. Tony is making waves representing Acupuncture as an Integrative Medicine procedure. Being featured with the likes of Dr. Mehmet Oz, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. David Pearlmutter, Dr. Neil Barnard, Dr. Joseph Mercola and Dr. Joel Furman is a step in the integrative direction.
His professional affiliation treating the NHL Florida Panthers, a UFC Fight Team with the Ultimate Fighter and his scientific Clinical Studies on Acupuncture’s Effect on Mild Cognitive Impairment at Florida Atlantic University all support his Integrative Approach of Acupuncture. He is pushing the boundaries of Acupuncture Education with a Double Doctorate in Acupuncture, a Clinical Doctorate (D.A.O.M.) in the United States of America and a PhD. in Acupuncture from the Peoples Republic of China.
Dr. Tony Willcox received the distinction of Summa Cum Laude for his studies in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 2005.
In 2016 he received the highest level of education in the United States with a Clinical Doctorate in Acupuncture, a D.A.O.M. Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and received the honor of a scholarship from the Chinese Government to complete a PhD. of Acupuncture in China.
Professor Yang Jun, one of the most famous Acupuncture Doctors in China took Dr. Tony under his wing at the Anhui University of Chinese Medicine in Hefei, Anhui, China. Between 2016 and 2019 all the work of a PhD., in the homeland of Acupuncture was worth the effort. The culmination of the PhD. was a clinical study at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton with the first Acupuncture study “The Effects of Acupuncture on Mild Cognitive Impairment.” This study was published in a scientific peer reviewed journal, The Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinsonism, September, 2019.
Dr. Willcox was the 1st Westerner to graduate with a PhD. in Acupuncture from this University’s sixty-year history.
