Overview of Amenorrhea

This condition is the absence of menstrual periods. In some cases, the person has never menstruated and is considered primary amenorrhea, this is usually someone who has not had a period by age of fifteen. Secondary amenorrhea is when a person has already started menstruating and misses two or three periods in a row.
