At Acupuncture Zen infrared heat lamps are part of our healing repertoire. Each treatment room has two heat lamps. We use a combination of TDP lamps and Infrared lamps. Infrared heat lamps transmit invisible infrared light waves to the body. This infrared therapy improves blood circulation, helps to relax tight muscles, loosens fascia and connective tissue and accelerates the body’s natural healing process. This enhanced blood flow can bring relief from pain and accelerates recovery from injury.
At Acupuncture Zen infrared heat lamps are part of our healing repertoire. Each treatment room has two heat lamps. We use a combination of TDP lamps and visible red infrared lamps. Though both lamps give off heat they have slightly different functions. Infrared heat lamps transmit invisible infrared light waves to the body’s muscles, nerves and tissues. Infrared heat is felt as a gentle heat which can increase and improve improve blood circulation. This helps to relax tight muscles, loosen fascia and connective tissue and accelerates the body’s natural healing process. This enhanced blood flow can bring relief from pain and can accelerate recovery from injury.
The difference between simple infrared heat therapy (the visible red lamp) and the TDP lamp is the TDP lamp incorporates a mineral plate that is heated and ionizes 33 trace minerals that may be absorbed by the body. TDP is an acronym for Teding Diancibo Pu the Chinese name of the product which translates to special electromagnetic spectrum. The human body relies on vitamins and minerals to repair and rebuild itself. Minerals are contained in the heating plate in the TDP lamp. This mineral plate is a thin iron plate where 33 trace elements in unique mineral forms are added in layers. These minerals are: aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, boron, cadmium, calcium, carbon, chromium, cobalt, copper, iodine, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, phosphorus, selenium, silicon, sodium, sulfur, tin, titanium, zinc, zirconium, bismuth, germanium, lithium, potassium, rubidium, strontium, and vanadium. The iron content of the plate helps the heat to spread uniformly.
In studies conducted in China the TDP lamp has clinically shown to promote micro-circulation delivering nutrients, and propagating enzymatic function to the cells which can promote detoxification. The TDP lamp operates in the parameters of Traditional Chinese Medicine by promoting the movement of Qi & Blood. This lamp is used in every hospital in China that offers acupuncture.
TDP lamp therapy has demonstrated benefits to patients with different conditions. It is a simple, non-invasive procedure that can be utilized as a part of treatment.
